Degree Project

 Today, I have been working on adding in snacks to the menu screen as I realised that majority of the coffee shops do offer them in some shape or form. 

 Evaluation When it comes to the project itself it is satisfying looking back at the first drafts of the idea I had in August/September and seeing how much it evolved and grew over time as more and more time has been spent on it. I remember that the name itself took me a couple of minutes to come up with as it just strike me as the right one at the moment.   However, now focusing on the work I have achieved it is varying from the app itself to printed promotional materials to a video promotional material and hopefully custom tins and t-shirts that I would use for the Degree show itself. When it comes to making an app the choice for building the app was to make it in Adobe XD this is because due to previous experience, I have had with it.  This week I have been finalising the project somewhat by working on promotional video for the app and further improving the prototype video.  For the promotional video at first I have gathered some ideas researching what other companies are doing like Starbucks or Costa. And from there I  have concluded what my video should include and look like.  Today I have been further developing the app by including Contact Us and Add a New card section as previously discussed with Michael. Below are some of the screenshots of the work

 This week I had a tutorial with Michael where we discussed my current state of work. Where he gave me couple of points of feedback to think about to improve my app. Where one of them was to include a statement after ordering a coffee whether to collect it or wait in the designated area etc.  I have decided to put in "Go to the collection Point A" to give the customer further instructions. Another feedback I  have received was based on the Build your coffee feature where it was missing a add to the favourites section in order to improve the customer's experience.  Also, we discussing settings section of the app to be specific whether to include a contact us and add a new card as I have included it within the app but haven't developed it and hyperlinked it. I will build couple screens regarding those sections next.

 For the past two days I have been working on my promotional video. Where I had an idea in mind to use a tracking shot where the person would hold a phone and my own footage would be overlaid on top of it. However, after playing around with Mocha in After Effects I finally managed to get it working however the effects were not satisfactory for me to be counted as professional thus I rejected the following idea and instead decided to opt-in for the cartoon version of the phone within the material.  Furthermore, couple days ago I have shot the footage for the promotional materials as some B-rolls that I could potentially use for the advert. Like shots of coffee beans, coffee itself, and the espresso machine. 

 Today, I had a tutorial with Stephen and we were discussing how the Degree Project Show might pan out and what content I should include within it. Where one of the things we have discussed would be to include a tin with Coffee Toffee logo on it. And inside of the tins would be the toffee and in another tin coffee thus I would be able to make coffee for the people coming in to the show making the whole experience a bit more authentic.  As well as I was further thinking of creating a custom orange T-shirt with Coffee Toffee logo on it. 

 Today, I have been working on further improving the menu section. Where I have improved the main screen of the menu the nutritional information and later on I have added in a confirmation screen.  Today, I have been working on improving the tutorial for the app. To be specific the first two slides to further represent the content of the app.

I have focused on improving the community tab as it wasn't as developed as I wanted to be as I was focusing on more crucial features of the app thus I prioritized it on the lower list.
