Degree Project

 This week I have been started to import the screens I have made in the Illustrator onto the Adobe XD to test how they would look like.  Also, I found out about the Adobe XD for your phone which allows you to preview how the app you are designing would look like on the phone. Changes that you are making within the app on the computer are changed in real time which means you don't have to hassle around with the file.

 This week I have further been working on improving the app design and by accident I found out that to make my design look better i have added in drop shadow to the top and bottom bar which makes each segment stand out even more. Design without drop shadow Design with Drop shadow

 One of the changes that i have made throughout the planning stage of the project was to change the name of the section "Your coffee" to "Build your coffee".  Another change I have made was regarding the logos 

 During today's tutorial we have been going through my draft proposal for the degree project. And what i would need to improve in order to make it better. After the tutorial i have improved it by exploring further my cultural context of the coffee place as I researched the history of the coffee and where did it come from. As well as I found out that in the 17th Century coffee houses were seen as places where people would come in together and discuss important and deep religious problems.  Also, from the feedback received I had to improve my target audience section to be precise reshuffling it in order to make the better paragraph first that was more representative of my idea.  As well as I have added in the ideas section two paragraphs about rejected ideas which didn't make it as they were either not feasible or did not have as much potential in them.  During today's session we have been talking any troubleshooting/problems that people might have with their projects. As well as it was a chance to ask any last minute questions regarding the project itself.

 This week I have been focusing on transferring the content of the Assignment 1 from the Word document onto the InDesign. Which allowed me for better manipulation of the texts and images in terms of placement.  Also, I have decided to make sure that the pictures/images that I include within the proposal cohere with the rest of the work I have made the frames for them. Furthermore, I have added in Title page for each section like above which makes the work look nicer and more organized.  Also, I am planning to add in Index page at the beginning of the document.

 During today's session we have been discussing feasibility of the project and whether or not we would be able to carry out our project fully.  For example we have been talking about the key considerations for our project like the software that we have available at home and at university. What will be our budget for the project? How many assets will I need to produce those kind of questions that were essential to answer the scale of the project.  Also, we talked about the need for the storyboard/user journey which i have already have a draft of this was to me important to have at the beginning of the project. As for the UI/UX project last year i neglected doing it till the last moment which meant that my structure of the app wasn't as clear as I wanted to be. However, i find that because i have some form of foundation from the get go i roughly know how the app would laid out and what kind of operations the user would be able to perform.
